If you have a collection of written materials, chapters, or a full first draft and can’t quite get a handle on it, please send me a sample of pages (15-20) PLUS a table of contents and estimated page count, and I will provide a FREE first evaluation. Tell me what difficulty (technically or content-wise) you had with your project. What motivated you to write this book? What is its main message? What is the most important thing to be straightened out? Who is the book for (market)?

Developing a Reasonable Editorial Plan

If your project is nicely put together, it might only need light cosmetic help, such as correcting grammar, spelling, word choice, expression etc. However, if chapters need to be rearranged for continuity or missing parts added, your book may require a deep treatment. Let’s work out an editorial plan.

Getting Your Book Printed and on the Market

We publish through KDP Select on Amazon. After you approve your manuscript as “final,” we will send you a text design for the book’s page size. Then the manuscript is made into real book pages and a PDF is generated for the printer. Now is the last chance for finall corrections. I will create 3 cover styles for you. After all is done, the paperback version and digital file will be released on Amazon for you to collect your royalties.

3 Steps of Text Evaluation

LEVEL 1: Light copyediting, spelling & grammar corrections, headline styling, continuity checks, etc, Editorial fee is based on your page count. A "manuscript page" (double-spaced type) fee will be determined. Multiply your pages with page fee, this will be your total cost. Electronic editing (includes tracking) available.

LEVEL 2: Perhaps your manuscript needs more serious help. You may need to cut out unnedessary repetition, reorder chapters/paragraphs for better flow, add/verify/query for information, or insert more continuity such as headers, table of contents, etc. Let's say, all is there, but it needs more organizing, we will determine a flat rate based on the page count. This service also includes copyediting.

LEVEL 3: Maybe your manuscript is "a mess," it's not fully assembled and you have not gained control of all the parts of your book. Don't worry! We will help you with rewriting passages, tying content together, summarizing for better understanding, or filling in the gaps. We will find a suitable strategy to co-develop your manuscript with you.
